Can you paint a house from photographs?

Yes. Most house portraits are created from photographs supplied by the client. Several photographs can be used if this helps to achieve the best composition.

What if I don't have a good photograph of the house?

That's not necessarily a problem. Send me the photographs you have and I'll be happy to discuss what might be possible.

Can you include the garden?

Yes. Gardens and surrounding landscape can be an important part of the composition and can help create a particularly attractive portrait.

Can you include pets or other personal details?

Yes. Dogs, cats, horses, cars, garden features and other details can often be incorporated to make the painting more personal.

Can you combine different photographs?

Yes. Where appropriate, several photographs can be used to create a single composition.

Can I choose the view of the house?

Yes, we can discuss the viewpoint before the painting begins, and a preliminary sketch is provided so that the proposed composition can be agreed beforehand.

Is the painting framed?

The standard price includes a quality hand-cut mount, but the painting is supplied unframed. This allows you to choose a frame to complement your home and personal taste.

How much does a house portrait cost?

A typical portrait with an overall mount size approximately 50 x 40cm costs £365, including the mount, preparation, packaging and SpecialDelivery via Royal Mail. Other sizes can be quoted individually.
